Privacy Policy

The data processed depends on how you use the App and which sign-in provider you choose.

• Account data, including provider user ID, name, email address, sign-in provider and profile picture URL.
• Learning data, including answers, scores, topic progress, saved questions, language choices and app preferences.
• Subscription data, including product, entitlement status, store platform and transaction identifiers needed to validate and restore purchases.
• Technical and security data, such as device and app information, request logs, errors and information needed to prevent abuse.

The App uses artificial intelligence to provide explanations, translations and learning insights. Question context, your selected answer, language choice and relevant statistics may be sent to contracted AI or cloud service providers to produce the requested result.

Do not submit national identity numbers, health information or other unnecessary sensitive personal data. AI-generated output can contain mistakes and is not official legal, immigration or governmental advice.

We process account, learning and subscription data to provide the service and perform our agreement with you. We process security and limited operational data based on our legitimate interest in keeping the App reliable and preventing misuse. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only when needed with providers that support authentication, cloud hosting, AI features, app distribution, purchase validation, error handling and customer support, or when disclosure is required by law.

Providers or their subprocessors may process data outside the EEA. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard under GDPR.

In-app purchases are processed by the relevant app store. Kalirox AS does not receive your full payment card details. We receive and store the identifiers and entitlement information needed to validate, restore and support purchases.

Account and learning data is retained while needed to provide the service. Purchase and transaction records may be retained where required for accounting, fraud prevention, store reconciliation or legal claims. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized.

Backups follow their normal retention cycle. Deletion from active systems may therefore not remove every backup copy immediately, but restored data remains subject to the deletion request.

You can request deletion inside the App from the profile area. The App attempts to delete the identity-provider account, removes or replaces direct identifiers and clears stored purchase tokens and transaction identifiers. Learning records that must remain for technical integrity are anonymized so they are no longer linked to you.

You can also request deletion without access to the App by emailing samfunn@norskmentor.no, preferably from the address used for the account. We may request proportionate information to verify ownership.

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an active app-store subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled through the store where they were purchased.

We use access controls, encrypted connections and operational safeguards designed to protect data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Where GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You may contact samfunn@norskmentor.no. You may also complain to Datatilsynet or the supervisory authority where you live.

The App is intended for adults preparing for Norwegian social studies or citizenship tests and is not directed at children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or our processing changes. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel.
